Maybe, but I guess I just wonder if us classifying someone as a parent just because they had the physical equipment to have kids and kids they don't raise properly is the right word since it kind of devalues the word parent in the end.
I suppose I look at my own parents like most other parents that really actually love their kids and see people who gave me birth, loved me, and yet disciplined and instructed me so I didn't become a little shite as the role of a parent. Even animals in the wild teach their offspring about life before they send them on their way to fend for themselves. It seems some humans do much less, and if there's abuse to be found, I'd say that's much more abusive long term than spanking a kids little arse, or grabbing them by the damn shirt because they didn't respect authority over them and disobeyed the teacher's instructions over and over again.

I had a parent call the cops on me last year. I was unaware at the time it was going on, the mother walks into the office with a sheriff and tells the officer she wants me arrested "for something." This is a few days after she threatened to 'slap the shite out of me' over the phone. The officer laughed in her face and thankfully i have a good administration team and they kicked the kid out of our school.
Glad it worked out for you.

I’m sure the chief did what he felt like had to be done. I would never question his judgment

Teachers with long careers, mortgages, and families ignore untucked shirts.

One question I havent seen answered in all of this was.. Who called the police? I would like to hear their story on why that call was made.
This is what I want to know. I think that given the recent incident at the school, the admin went ahead and called the cops putting the burden on the police to do something. The school administration should have had the balls to handle this issue internally and not call the cops.

Oh, you mean the "my little angel would never do that" parents?
the child probably texted on the iphone he is provided and carries around to text mom what he want for dinner and what kind of starch he likes in his shirts.
I got a spoiled one too, but she knows how to behave, respect authority, and do what she is told.

little boy may want to start following instructions, he disobey on a traffic stop and display the same behavior the police just may shoot him.
Teacher cant touch him though

My bet is the kid called the police.

Ahh, good ol' Korea. Korea is going soft too though. Kids are complaining (the rich ones) and the teachers are getting written up. I remember when I visited for a homestay in 6th grade and a girl didn't stop talking after the teacher told the class to shut it. She got 10 ruler lashings on her open palms in front of the class. Needless to say, everyone stfu after that.

Lol at my high school the teachers would literally backhand you if you even looked at them wrong.

Exactly! Man, I was in elementary school in the 70s and we had some old lady teachers who would yank misbehaving kids by the hair and force us to sit on the ground. One lady, Mrs. Stokes, used to slap kids upside the head. I got that once....and that was enough.

Why anyone would want to go into the teaching profession is beyond me.
