WOW. So kids shirt was untucked and she pulled him aside by the shirt and made him stand outside class = Night in Jail

Now wonder the school system around here has become a joke and run by the students.

I think 99% of my teachers growing up would have a record today if this type of stuff were enforced.

Sorry if already posted.

Did she throw him down by the jersey and do a Ray Lewis dance over his head? Surely she didn't get jailed for pulling him by the shirt...

That is about retarded.

Screw that. You should definitely question his judgement. The Baker police chief is probably a moron.

Joseph (Baker School Superintendent) said the story he was given was the student was asked three times to tuck in his shirt by Anderson before he entered the classroom.

The boy refused.

“The teacher put out her hand to block the student from going into the classroom, but he got around her,” Joseph said.

Joseph said Anderson then pulled his shirt because he was resisting.
And they arrest the teacher? Unfrickingbelievable.

No shite. I saw an elementary teacher of mine this past week and thanked her for snatching my ear and keeping me in line. Talking only goes so far.

To be fair, the teacher according to the article would not give a statement, so all the police had to go off of was the students account.

What was the students account? I cant find any angle that was presented where there should have been a jailable offense.

Oh and apparently a para was not arrested weeks ago for having a student on the ground in a choke hold and was issued a summons for simple battery which pissed the police cheif off apparently.. Of course he was fearing for his safty too. A para is the person watching over the special needs kids.. Some of which are HUGE and out of control. It can be a very dangerous job. They dont get to have tazers.

Knaps defended the Police Department’s decision to book Anderson by citing Police Department protocol.

Protocol is to arrest teachers for grabbing a middle school kid by the shirt and pulling them out of class?

Who doesn't remember middle school kids? Has it been that long? Yeah, they're hard heads, and need to get their attention?

quote:

“She snatched him, physically yanked him very hard. A teacher has no authority to do that,” Knaps said Thursday night.

No authority to grab the kid by the shirt, and so you arrest them?

quote:

“Both should have been booked,” Knaps said. “That’s our protocol, and the officer involved chose on his own to issue a summons.” Knaps said the officer who chose to issue the summons instead of book the educator has been disciplined but declined to elaborate further.

Protocol is beginning to sound like the book of Knapps.

quote:

Green said Butler, who told officials he felt threatened by the student, held her son down on the ground by holding him by his neck. Green said Butler should have been booked and taken to jail like Anderson.

Hey, sometimes they need to be held down by their necks, have their shirt grabbed, ears pulled, knuckles popped, and backsides tanned to get their delicate little attention and their minds right. It's the only thing they understand and when you embarrass them they figure out shortly thereafter that they don't want that kind of attention anymore so they don't do what it takes to get that done to them anymore.

Maybe if that was protocol, we wouldn't have kids running the schools, and they would respect the authority of the teacher. Maybe we'd have control over this and could help form better human beings and minds.

Who arrests these officials when we can't walk out our doors anymore because we've handed this world over to thugs that we made thugs by arresting the teachers rather than backing the teacher's discipline? When are they held accountable for all of this?

How exactly do the police act when citizens refuse to follow commands?

Teacher should have shot the kid's dog.

I remember growing up wondering if my parents would sign the permission slip to allow my arse to get spanked then seeing the huge paddle the principal had. I never got in trouble.

Was common to see a kid grabbed by the ear. The parents didnt want to know why their kids ear was grabbed they wanted to know what their kid did to determine if their butt got beat later.
