I was that teacher, I would have fought back and grabbed whatever I could to have that kid on the brink of death. I’m so fricking over today’s youth or most of it.

So you would have been a 64 year old disabled woman?

go on....like to hear all of this tale.

Circa 2001, whipped it out and slapped a teacher on the arse with his dick

Teacher turned around but he was able to put it back before he was seen completely

So you have to go 20 years back to find an instance like this at a Catholic school?

also, as the louisiana brain drain/educated exodus continues or even accelerates, even places like mandeville and covington will see a major impact. all the good/educated kids are moving to texas or somewhere else out of state after college, leaving behind the trashy townies to eventually kind of take over the area.

Already happening. Look at all the multi-family housing that exists in these areas now. In 15-20 years when they’re all section 8 it’s going to be a big problem.

Yesterday we had people say stuff like this happens in Christian private schools.

So because this happened at a public school means that these things don't happen in Christian private schools?

When you have a school full of teenagers, I don't care where they are.. At some point there will be some who does stupid shite.

Yeah but the complete disruption of a learning environment to the downright disdain for personal achievement and betterment is much less present at private schools than at most public schools in the state of LA

Nobody has ever once argued that Covington High isn’t a shithole

I wouldn’t paint the whole school of thousands of students as a shithole based on one thug student incident. I thought hasty group generalizations based on isolated incidents were bad?

I don’t see how anyone in this day and age could be a white police officer or a white public school teacher. You could triple the salaries and it still wouldn’t be enough to deal with the thug portion of society.

its pretty well known its the lesser of the schools and has more trailer park type kids.

Which isnt necessarily bad, but those parents arent generally the ones helping out in the community or at school to make it a better place for their children.

Economically disadvantaged students-46%

That's actually pretty low for LA. State average is 69.1%.

Sounds pretty accurate. It definitely has more sub-upper middle class students than the surrounding areas, but still, seems wrong to jump to the attack over an isolated incident.

i've been blasted on here for years for saying the northshore isn't all sunshine and rainbows. again, i don't even say it's bad or dangerous... it's just not what people sell it as. at least not in 2021.

No one is confusing Covington for Ben Franklin HS... but it's also not Fortier in the mid 90s, either...

As I just said, Covington's economic disadvantage rate is 20 points LESS than the state average.

That's depressing to see at Covington... I guess that area must be going downhill. I thought it was mainly poor white trash and methheads.

Nuclear Families are a symptom of white privilege. If everyone was raised in a clusterfrick of a home we would have equality.
I know you're being sarcastic, but this is a goal of the political Left. It's out of the textbook. You can't have an overarching, powerful central government if you don't detach children from nuclear family life early. You reinforce it across generations.

George Weigel in his amazing biography of Pope St. John Paul II called Witnesss to Hope did extensive research in archives in Kracow, Warsaw and Moscow. This whole dynamic played out in Russia and Poland right up until 1985 or so in Poland, 1991 in Russia. Break up the nuclear family by educating the children to be servants of the State, not their parents; schedule parents to work opposite shifts so time as a family is exceedingly rare; sexualize the children as young as possible. It's all happened before, now it's been happening here, by choice instead of government fiat.

This is what we get.
