None of you seem to give two shits about why you're drinking beer on a Monday.
There are two options, 1) All the people that are patriotic and give a shite about deceased vets are with their fam and not posting, or 2) You're not great people. SEC OT is the same.
I don't know if I've been so disappointed in the south in years.

quote:
Once on the ground, the team assessed the situation and moved quickly to the high ground. The most prominent cover and concealment on the hilltop were a large rock and tree. As they approached the tree, Sergeant Chapman received fire from two enemy personnel in a fortified position. He returned fire, charged the enemy position and took out the enemy combatants within.
Almost immediately, the team began taking machine gun fire from another fortified enemy position only 12 meters away. Sergeant Chapman deliberately moved into the open to engage the new enemy position. As he heroically engaged the enemy, he was struck by a burst of gunfire and became critically injured.
Sergeant Chapman regained his faculties and continued to fight relentlessly despite his severe wounds. He sustained a violent engagement with multiple enemy fighters, for over an hour through the arrival of the quick reaction force, before paying the ultimate sacrifice. In performance of these remarkably heroic actions, Sergeant Chapman is credited with saving the lives of his teammates.

Not sure how long you've been around here, but TD has a lot of veterans, many of whom have lost comrades. Other TDers have lost friends and family in wartime. Not everyone wears it on their sleeve.

I’ve been reading the site that you linked yesterday. It has links and I’m in a rabbit hole. A lot of the stories I have already read. And am reading them again.

I served in the USMC during the years of 1983-87 and we lost people in training accidents some of the best people on the earth decent, capable, hard chargers who would have held viable lives of matter.
I lost an older cousin in Vietnam which was the reason for my enlisting.
A lot of TD members show respect for our departed freedom fighters.

My admiration and appreciation for those that sacrificed their lives for our nation, it's founding principles and the security of its future means more to me than feeling obligated so as I have to to share it with you idiots

As a combat vet with multiple KIAs in my platoon go frick yourself. I’m sitting on the beach with my family drinking a beer in their honor because they earned it for me. Be disappointed Karen.

I haven’t even had a beer yet, what are you whining about?

Wow. You are the greatest American I’ve ever seen.

Fair play sir. I remember when Ossof first ran, it was a 15 year setup for frickery. Georgia was dumb enough to buy it, but after having lived in DeKalb County, it came as no surprise.

If the day is meant to be about them why are you trying to make this about you and how you seem to appreciate their sacrifice more than the rest of us because you're telling us you do
