I love these threads. If those of you saying that only stupid people, who aren't worth hiring, have tattoos, are serious and not just trolling, you are complete idiots.

I work for a very respectable company, and in our office where I'd say 80% of the people make 6 figures, working in an office, working 40 hours a week. All smart individuals, who all have one form of education or another. Maybe 3-4 out of the entire office have no tattoos.

If you think its trashy, that's fine. No one cares if others think they are trashy, but to say that if someone has a tattoo they are completely worthless, and cannot do a job properly because of that tattoo, is a completely asinine thing to say and believe.

Do you honestly believe that tattoos are seen as a positive vs. a negative to the general populace?

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on here. If that is how you truly feel and you are not trolling, I feel sad for you. You are so far out of touch with reality, your company should re-evaluate your position.

Well, well. We have ourselves a real non-judgemental guy here. Anything goes in the world of texasmason.

Face tattoo: Come on down.

Knuckle tats: Sure, my customers won't mind

Tear-drop tats: YES! that's an urban legend anyway

Wild colored hair: Sure, the brighter the better.

Piercings: Most def. My customers love a dude that looks like a pin cushion.

Do you think 30 years from now all these kids are gonna regret the stupid pokemon and other video game tattoos they are getting? Along with all the other stuff they get inked that they find so "cool" right now?

I'm sitting in a coffee shop in boulder slanging some code and see plenty of tattoos in this environment, and in my industry of software, definitely not a negative

MS Gulf coast is the bad tattoo mecca.

And for some reason, terrible personalized license plates.

If I have to look at it, then I care and yes Im judging. Thats because Im a human being and we all do it before we even realize it has happened. Stop making yourself look like a freak you loser. My eyes don’t enjoy looking at ugliness.

I think saying you would not hire someone just because they have a tattoo is ridiculous. We can what if a million scenarios but making an all or nothing statement like that is insane.

What others do to their bodies have no impact to what I would do or what I would condone for my child.

My wife and I were talking about this just yesterday. My first thought is a spin-off from White Men Can't Jump. I hope their family didn't miss any meals because they paid money for that crap.

You are just as judgemental as anyone. You just probably have a bunch of tattoos, so you don't want to be judged for that.

You judge people for other reasons. I'm asking, what are those reasons?
