As a former holder of said security clearance, let me clear this up. It's valid for 5 years. Meaning you only need one FBI investigation every 5 years. If you finish your job, as say a CIA agent, in 3 years, than your clearance is still valid for 2 more years. Meaning a new government agency, pr...
