They estimated losses last year between 700 and 800 million, and this year it’s outpacing last year. Have we become a nation of thieves?

What was that % Romney quoted when he was campaigning for president?

One of life’s greatest little moments is getting to your car and realizing the cashier forgot to scan the items in the underneath part of the basket. So imagine how nice it would be if the entire basket of shite was free.

Shoplifting merchandise from Bay Area stores like Walgreens, CVS, Target, or a department store in San Francisco is a petty theft law violation. According to section 459.5, the difference between burglary and shoplifting depends on the time at which the retail theft occurs.

Insurance may cover it, but then insurance rates go up, which makes their prices go up for you and I. That sucks! Also, they may lock up certain items or close the store altogether!

Are they complaining or bragging about that number? Doesn't seem like they want to do anything about it, so I assume the latter.

No… No. I couldn’t live with myself. It’s never happened to me, but I’d be marching myself back inside to the same cashier, get the items paid for.

Some straight up trash in here.

It’s how you combat inflation. Wages don’t increase, but the price of everything goes up 15-75%, just steal it, like the government steals your money and sends it to the Ukraine or any global warming sham project.

That's more loss for them than the Summer of Love and Destruction saw when they had multiple stores completely destroyed.

Funny how that happens when we stop prosecuting people for it.
