With this situation being ever-present, and the included promise of shame and exile from society, what is so irresistible for these teachers that they prey on someone who’s essentially still a child?

Best believe some of these teachers look at kids like we look at football recruits…

Ah, the one that started it all....

Screwing her 6th grade student...

One thing I didn't know...

Letourneau died July 6, 2020, at her home in Des Moines, Washington from colorectal cancer. She was 58. Fualaau and her family were at her side despite their separation. In her will and testament, Letourneau left much of her estate to Fualaau

assume you're not obligated to pay child support if you are under 18.

quote:

If only one parent was under 18 (and unemancipated) at the time of the child’s conception and the other parent was over 18, the over-18 parent has primary responsibility to support the child for his/her share and the grandparents of the under-18 (unemancipated) parent shares primary responsibility for his/her share of the child support.

You would be obligated to pay child support for your underage son.

That "one person" probably can't even spell the words that were quoted.

Loranger Coliseum was the Mecca of Midsouth Wrestling.

That's about all I can say about Loranger.

I hope you understand this and most people in Tangi do not---

I’ve been teaching in Tangipahoa Parish for 28 years, I’m very much aware.

quote:

The school board members in Tangi all wink and nod and try to explain away their failure using the discrimination lawsuit. That has become a flippant excuse for piss poor management and performance.

TPSS should be shut down and charter operators invited in to manage the schools and rehire the teachers they want and use the buildings they need.

I agree that things could be managed much better, but the deseg lawsuit is still, without question, the largest factor in the decline in scores.

Bottom line, it’s all a bunch of double talk. Rigorous, Tier 1 curriculum, but don’t fail too many. School safety, but a discipline policy that makes it impossible. Far too concerned about coddling the ridiculous demands of parents instead of upholding an educational standard.

We are preached to about “best practices” and “research based data,” but it’s all a bunch of crap that doesn’t work and changes from year to year.

The last ten years have made this occupation so undesirable that people who are completely unqualified are being put into vacant teaching positions. Stuff like that leads to more incidents like that in the OP.

I’m in my second year of DROP, and only have the rest of this year and one more, but I often question whether I’ll continue through next year. The entire system is unsustainable and untenable, as I’ve said here multiple times.

WBRZ just reported that it's the student that's pregnant. Is that correct?

Of course they’d want a male to be pregnant

Funny, our local county judge, who goes MIA for weeks at a time in drug rehab/burnout stints, was known for dropping those phrases on administrators and budget staff whenever they tried to explain anything.

"Best practices" and "metrics" must be taught at bureaucratic conferences and seminars as the current preferred buzzwords to drop when you have no idea how anything works, and zero knowledge of past results.

They remind me of people who say "approximately" and "this individual" and shite when they're trying to sound smart on the local news.
