The report she filed says she was out with friends at a bar, the girl who drove left her and her other friend there, she was highly intoxicated and the guy offered to bring her home. He allegedly brought her to his home instead and raped her. She said she woke up naked on the floor (and apparently she got pregnant from being raped).
What is strange is the record being sealed from public view. Why would this little known case (until now) be sealed from public view? I'm wondering about the justification there. That does seem like someone is trying to possibly hide something.
There are a lot of missing details on both sides here.

The linked video in the OP says a rapists can never be granted custody of any child that is a product of rape, under state law.
The Ponchatoula Good ole Baw Network supersedes any laws, local, state, or fed.

Have we not learned anything from the Depp/Heard clown show recently? So we are just believing everything the girl said at face value. There’s absolutely no way that girl was saying she was 18 that night? There’s no way there are details left out of this story?

I just cant figure out why that's so difficult to understand.
I've never met a Barnes from Ponchatoula that wasn't trashy and the way files just go "missing" or secretly sealed in Tangipahoa Parish is nothing new.

Whole lot of questions/possibilities here:
-did he know she was 16 considering she was drinking at a bar, likely via fake ID?
-was she in fact raped?
-what all did she do to lose custody
-is he a piece of shite who knowingly committed statutory rape or is he a good guy who is only trying to be a good dad?
-I get judge awarded him custody before the rape claim, but even if it was not "rape" their respective ages made it statutory rape so I'm curious how he was awarded custody, but I don't know the legal ins/outs of how after the rape claim would the daughter still be in his custody (can this happen without hard evidence/investigation) or especially how can he be awarded child support after that
-is he a piece of shite, but maybe has money and knows the right people to get away with this
None of us knows what the hell happened, so people arguing passionately about this is stupid. Nobody in their right mind, even on this board, supports a rapist but you also cannot #BelieveAllWomen simply because they say so

None of this adds up whatsoever.
Unless the ages are incorrect at the time of conception and he is indeed the father of the child we don't need anything else to know it was rape.
Unless someone has information she was of the age of consent at the time of conception I don't understand the knighting for a child rapist, however, I am constantly nonplussed at things I read on tOT.

I wonder if this is a situation where she’s at a “restaurant” drinking and the guy thinks she’s over 18. There is definitely more to the story.

Possibly because having sex with a 16yo when you are in your thirties is rape. The calendar has no bias.
