I've never had one. Friends get them and many get sick for a day or two after. What are your experiences and thoughts about the flu shot?

Made my arm a little sore, that's all. I didn't get the flu that year.

I won't get the shot anymore because the day of the shot and the day after I basically have flu symptoms

This is a myth. The shot does, in fact, make people sick. It's the body's reaction to the shot. It's not the flu it's your body's immune system ramping up to fight what it thinks is the flu. I was sick for several days after my last one but I'm going to continue getting them.

My experience is that I have 2 choices:

A. Get the shot and work

B. Don't get the shot and get placed on leave until the end of flu season

I get the shot

Had doc tell me one time that people do not get sick from the shot because I ask him. He said it was like saying I got chicken pox from eating chicken wings. I do feel sluggish after getting a flu shot not sure if it is related. Older you get a bout with the flu is not a minor issue.

another thing, the more people that get the shot the fewer at risk people get the flu (younge and old, immume comprimised, etc).

There was an article lately about it. Basically the more people with the shot help suppress the virus within a community and therefore limit it from being spread.

Same premise as why kids that dont get vaccines are hurting more than themselves- they are contributing to the growth and putting more people at risk

I don't get the shot because it's the government trying to implant chemicals needed for easy mind control and tracking you.

Just like the map of Africa showing the various countries buying in to vaccinations by the WHO was soon followed by the the same map of the spread of teh AIDS.

Not a coincidence.

NO THANK YOU

I've never had the flu so I probably won't get the shot till i get the flu and feel miserable. They seem to be pretty shitty at predicting which flu will be active, so I don't see the point. Its not like polio or something. The studies I saw point to it being minimally effective.
