Suicide is looped in with gun violence for political reasons.

Someone who has a real problem is going to get the job done with a knife, pills, or a tall building if they really wanted to and guns weren't around. IMO it's not logical to include it in the gun violence stat.

Comprises about 60% of people killed by guns.

Which is why the media always uses the term "gun deaths" rather than "homicide with gun." Makes the number way bigger. They most commonly use this number when comparing us with other countries, where it skews the data the most, since the suicides still happen there, just not with a gun.
