It does, but the mirrors are so damn small I don't trust them
But the size of the mirror isn't going to change if the indicator is on or not.
And if you don't trust the indicator why even be in the sedan in the first place?
Maybe put spot mirrors on it?

I appreciate the thought that went into this. Seriously. But I have enough cash on hand to buy this truck 3 times. I’m a saver which is why this whole thing is killing me.
How many miles have you averaged a year since the job switch?

She doesn't like riding in the truck and she doesn't want to drive the sedan when we're together.
She wants me to drive.

I WFM now so on a late night with brown liquor I would guess less than 8k per year on the high side.
But I’m now having to pay attention to dates rather than mileage on oil changes …. Which is new.

Because 90% of the time you'd be better served with a van or SUV.
I’m also looking at 21 GX’s which are sweet at this same price point.

Then rent a truck when you need a truck.
It'll cost you $70 a day and you won't be stuck holding the depreciation bag.
You're driving fewer than 10,000 miles a year so go lease something cool for two years and when that contract is up go lease something cooler. Make it a personal goal to lease the coolest fricking car you can in your area.
Save your cash. Vehicles are a dealer's market. Don't play their games.

Thanks for this. I never considered leasing.

You can get a base model 2016 Tundra for half of that and drive it triple the amount of miles you would a Ford.

I’ve been looking at Tundras too but the 2021 or older models with similar trim packages are rare and more expensive. They were my first choice.
And any Trundra hats not a work truck with less than 50k miles is the same or more in price.

Don’t listen to that he’s faking financial knowledge. Dealer eats depreciation huh.
Anyway, leases are a great option if you don’t put a lot of mileage on your vehicle

2016 F150 Platinum. V8 with the 6 tranny. 26k miles. Pulled the carfax and it’s been meticulously maintained. 4x4, decked out.
Is no one concerned about this low of mileage?
It seems odd. Was it parked, not moved, for several years? I WFH and still put 5K+ a year on my car. Even if it's not moved, those parts are still 10 years old. Some will start to give away, especially when you start driving it consistently.

Let the dealers eat that depreciation.
You realize a lease is basically predetermining the depreciation over the lease term, and charging you that depreciation plus interest broken out over monthly payment. Only advantage for a lease from that perspective is if you get lucky and there is a huge market shift and it would have depreciated more than what you locked in at the start of the lease. Also if you know for a fact you'll be in a new vehicle after 36 months or something, it can in certain ways be a slightly better financially depending on offers and lease rates vs financing rates.

New 2026 Ford
F-150 STX

Take a shot and offer 35K, all they can do is say no.

Rent one. The small rental fee is gonna be a lot less than you'd spend on that truck note every month not to use it.

46k for a 10 YO truck is insane. I bought a brand new loaded out truck for 41k in 2021 right before the prices soared
