also, if this was going to happen regardless, why have the President, the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, and the Press Secretary all gone MIA this week? guilty conscious?

To be fair, when has this vice president not been MIA? Seriously, I don't keep up with the news all day every day, but what has she done since being in office?

With that said, hasn't Biden addressed this several times this week? As for as everyone else I don't know. But I don't think Biden has been MIA..

that is fair. she’s busy off on her “special assignments” accomplishing nothing with aid to Haiti and helping out Central American countries? i dunno. Nothing really.

They make quite the powerful duo don’t they? Accomplishing sooo much. So much accomplishing.

Nonsense Chris.
It was 2.5-3 days before he first made a statement. It was all lies and blame shifting. The interview with George Stephanoplous was conveniently edited, removing 900 words total. Then he attempts to fly off to Delaware for the rest of the week, gets called out on it, shifts the press conference back an hour, then takes softballs from selected media members that he answers directly from reading from a card. Then flies to Delaware immediately afterwards to hide. Where is his Press Secretary? Where is the Chief of Staff? Neither have made statements either.

Does this administration sound transparent to you? We were promised transparency, were we not?

God you are so fricking dumb.

He hid for days with radio silence when it was happening, then released a prepared, milquetoast statement how it was all part of the plan, read off a teleprompter with no questions

Then went back on vacation

Then had an interview where he said “c’mon man, that was 4 or 5 days ago”, lied and disrespected our Allies, the Afghan troops and our soldiers.

Then he finally had a “press conference” with preselected questions so he could read the prepared answers off of cards.

As soon as one went off script, he couldn’t answer and left.

frick this pedo and frick you personally for defending him you sorry sack of weasel excrement.

Word of advice I think trying to reason with chris and argue with him on the merits of an issue is a waste of time he is not smart enough to understand what we are talking about.

That's why I've decided just to beat the crap out of him

What are you getting at here? The agreement to get out of Afghanistan was made by Trump, and it was to be out a few months ago. Do you think he would not have followed through? Bc if he would have, the Taliban would have absolutely taken over the second we stepped out. So the Taliban would still be in control either way.

Keep trying. The Trump plan involved going down from 15,000 to 2,500 troops but not to allow the Taliban to continuously break the conditions of the agreement. Civilians and equipment would have been evacuated instead of being abandoned as well.

His plan was to get down to zero troops. And at that time, the Taliban would have taken over.

1) We left caches of weapons
2) We left a secure air base in favor of an unsecured airport
3) We left Americans unaware, in the city to fend for themselves.
4) We didn't inform our partners were we were leaving in the middle of the night.

Its objectively a cluster frick.

strategy vs execution.

you still can’t logically separate the two can you? you’re either such a political hack you can’t admit the frick up or you’re a troll. regardless, you’re getting your arse handed to you on the topic

It’s been messy and imperfect. But do you not remember the warnings for American citizens to gtfo of there like 6 weeks ago? Also we were supposed to be out on May 1st, we overstayed that. A lot of the weapons that were left were for the Afghan army (not saying that was smart, as it was inevitable the Taliban would take over anyway) but it’s better than if we had literally just left them there.

Its an unorganized cluster frick.

Which you support. You've been arguing something for days that no one else is saying.

Wrong….. he would not have left so many Americans over there to face horrible things…. Like I have said…. You just don’t get the difference about who’s in charge….

Not if the Taliban continuously violated the conditions, which they did. Pompeo had an interview about this that came out today or yesterday.

I guess this is what the Afghans prefer. Certainly not my cup of tea.

One of the great tragedies of human existence is that sometimes people get what they want. And then they find out.
