So basically you’re saying we wouldn’t have left if Trump was still President then. And I disagree, Trump was not a warmonger.

How about the part where Trump wouldn’t have left the equipment behind and 15,000 Americans behind enemy lines? People aren’t saying that things still wouldn’t have gone to hell in one way or another, but nowhere near this bad.

Well I was responding to him insinuating that the Taliban wouldn’t be committing atrocities if Trump were still in office. Which just doesn’t make sense, they would still have taken over and be in control.

No it’s very relevant…. Bomb the palace and it will send a message…. You just don’t seem to get it.. I assure that the Taliban was more worried about things when Trump was in power than they are of the coward we now have running the show.

False. Trump had Pompeo negotiate a phased exit with the Taliban. You do this, we do this. You understand? Unless the Taliban met certain metrics, Trump would have in all likelihood kept forces deployed. But Biden wanted a cheap political win, so ignored this phased plan completely.

And name is a single other policy or agreement that Trump put in place that Biden hasn’t backed us out of? Paris Climate Accord? 1760 Project? Immigration policies?

Biden was given intelligence all Summer that this was a possibility and did it anyway. He was even interviewed and was adamant this wouldn’t happen, while being briefed that it could happen.

“I’m the President of the United States. the buck stops with me” That’s a direct quote from your President. He made this decision to leave in the dead of night, he owns it. No one else.

Yea, we bombed and fought the Taliban for 20 years and they still took over within a week of us withdrawing troops. Fighting/bombing them just delays the inevitable.

That’s not what I said at all… we still would have left but it would have been different and if Trump saw the pics of those thugs celebrating by taking over the palace he would have done way more than what dumbass has done….

No matter when we left the Taliban was going to take over, we could stay until 2030 and they would still take over the second we left. Are you saying we shouldn’t leave unless we know the Taliban won’t take over? Because that equates to never leaving

the issue has been explained to you dozens of times. You're either an idiot, or just incapable of understanding simple grammar.

the details of the final withdrawal were horrible, the entire world agrees, except...you.

Now your shifting the narrative again.

No, we should not remain in Afghanistan. but if you can’t understand the difference between strategy and execution, you are too ignorant for this conversation to continue.

also, if this was going to happen regardless, why have the President, the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, and the Press Secretary all gone MIA this week? guilty conscious?

also, reports are that Mark Milley and Lloyd Austin are both going to retire aka fall on the sword.

These things don’t happen if properly executed. but you know that and are instead attempting to carry water for your President who likely has signed the death sentence of many Americans, allies, and innocent Afghans who helped us the last 20 years.

It could have been done much better. I originally responded to the poster insinuating that if Trump were President the Taliban wouldn’t be committing atrocities. Which doesn’t make sense, unless one thinks we wouldn’t have left. Because they were going to take over regardless, and they would still be themselves regardless.

He said “we would have still left”, but then said we would be bombing them. Bombing them is the opposite of leaving.
