Tackiest/trashiest/most poorly planned wedding you've ever been to?

This past weekend I went to Denver for a friend's wedding. While I had a good time and obviously am happy for the couple, the wedding was very poorly planned and obviously cost-cut at every avenue possible.
The ceremony was held on a Friday afternoon at a state park about 20 miles southwest of Denver, so the drive there was about 35 minutes. No bus or shuttle or anything so we were to fend for ourselves as far as transportation.
Having a Friday wedding is tacky enough in itself, but this one was held in the middle of July, outdoors, at noon. Everyone had to hike about a half of a mile up the mountain in their dress clothes to the overlook where the ceremony was to be held. While this wasn't a problem for me, the majority of the girls had a lot of trouble getting up there with their dresses and heels, and the parents and older members of the family had a lot of trouble getting up there. Definitely pretty inconsiderate in that regard.
We finally got up to the top and had to wait 40 minutes for the bride to show up. By the time they started their vows, we were all drenched in sweat as it was 90 degrees and sunny with little shade.
The reception was held at a bar 40 minutes away from the ceremony. By the time all of us arrived via our $40 Ubers, we were already 15 minutes into the 2-hour reservation. To make matters even more interesting, we were all cut off after the tab hit $500. So basically the reception was a cash bar at some hole-in-the-wall dive place.
The afterparty was held in some random dude's garage (as the groom decided 30 minutes into the reception) where we smoked cigars and played drinking games on a fold-up table with Coors and Whiteclaw.
Like I said, I had a good time, and the groom was one of my better friends from college, but the weekend was certainly a shitshow.
What was the most disorganized wedding you baws ever attended?

The one where they ran out of caviar 30 minutes into the cocktail hour. S was devastated.

A guy I know married a girl who worked at Club La Vela in Panama City. I can't remember where the venue was, but at one point during the reception someone had a hairdryer to help speed up the process of thawing out frozen shrimp from Winn Dixie

I opened this with intentions of chastising you for being judgmental... but that does seem like a lot of hassle

Most venues are half the price on Fridays and Sundays.

Never been to one, but I'd love to crash a Big Fat Gypsy wedding... Just to see the "trashyness" of it...

Seriously - I don't understand this either.
My friend isn't poor by any means - he's just cheap.
Both families are from Tennessee. Why not just have the wedding in the Smokies instead of making everyone take a day off work to fly across the country?
It certainly couldn't have been that much more money to have the wedding on Saturday. It was a state park, not an expensive venue.

Went to one where the service was outside and the reception was inside, so it’s not like there was any reason to stand around waiting for the reception to get kicked off, but from the end of service to eating was over an hour and from the time they started letting you eat, it was another 45 minutes or so until the band fired up.
Wasn’t trashy, but the time management was beyond pathetic.

This sounds like your first wedding.
Yea, definitely your first wedding. Congrats on talking shite about your only friend.

Most Catholic weddings in south Louisiana (outside of New Orleans) will be on Friday evenings as the churches only allow weddings Friday evening or Saturday afternoon.

this one is easy. a friend of mine from lsu was doing graduate work at NLU/ULM back in the early 1990s after we graduated and i was living in houston.
he decided to marry an asian girl and asked my mom (he was a family friend by then) to attend. this was in some building on ULM campus.
my mom being the smart woman she is showed up hours ahead of time and realized he hadn't done a single thing to prepare and over the course of 3-4 hours she arranged to have plants, chairs & flowers brought in and even managed to set up a small table with some appetizers so it wasn't just 2 people standing in a room with chairs stacked up.
what a trainwreck. i don't think he's ever thanked her for essentially making something out of nothing.

I haven't been a part of many trashy weddings per se, but I'm getting weary of the growing trend of asking guests to move tables and chairs for the reception and picking them up at the end. Pay some kids a couple dollars to eat and pick that stuff up so grandpa isn't over there killing himself trying to impress the bridesmaids by pickup up 6 chairs at once.
ETA: A poster just reminded me of the food at a particular wedding. Had about 50 people in attendance with only finger foods and about 10 little caesars pizzas. Didn't even have a jambalaya, which would have fed more people than that.

I went to one at Shenandoah country club back in the day. It was high school sweethearts that you knew weren’t gonna last. She was a well raised girl and he was a trashy piece of shite going nowhere. The family hated him. During a speech he was giving he said referring to the brides grandfather, “grandpa joe, you know you my ni##a right?!” I cringed hard. Not to mention all of the groomsmen were white gangsters as well.

Never heard of this. You all have some trashy friends. I mean you are the company you keep though

My cousin Billy Bob Drabek and his bride, Jolene Johnson. Bun in the oven was Clive, and the dog was Chopper.
