She is a fricking minor or child and they fricking idiots. They should have apologized and given her a ride to school or is that too much to ask from a public employee that fricks up for you bootlicking pig worshipers

understand the level of shitbag city cops have to deal with
This is what I quoted you on. And below is what I responded with.

That's their jobs. To enforce the law & deal with those who have broken it. Not to harass innocent children.
I never mentioned qualified immunity, nor made an argument for or against.
I think you're confused & arguing with yourself.

Really sad video. They could stop her without the handcuffs after seeing she's a child and then confirming the picture.
Her friends were absolutely awesome. Awesome in how they had her back and defended her in a way that didn't come across as defensive. And the way they comforted her after she got emotional. I'm so impressed by her friends.

How long did this whole thing take? 10 minutes? I’m of the mind that that it’s unfortunate she was wearing the same thing as the person of interest, but it doesn’t seem to be that bad.

So if a cop mocked your innocent child and called them a liar, you'd be cool with it? They didn't just do a quick investigation. They made personal remarks about the child. Not to mention a child should never be questioned without their parent or guardian present.

I could see that my child was wearing the exact same thing as the person they were looking for, and be ok with that. Explain the situation to them after it was over and be done with it.

Can you provide time stamps for how long this interaction took?

You should see what paramedics have to deal with.
EMS also gets qualified immunity

None of this makes sense or provides any realistic alternative to qualified immunity.
The current state of QI in this country makes it functionally impossible to sue law enforcement for even the most egregious and intentional of rights violations because the way we define a constitutional right as being “clearly established prior to the misconduct” is that someone has already sued, and already won, for that exact violation. Which means that, as long as no one successfully sued law enforcement for a particular violation, law enforcement can continue engaging in that exact violation, intentionally, forever, and can’t be successfully sued, creating one of the most obscene Catch 22s in all of the law.
It’s not a binary of the current status quo versus full open liability: we can, and should, remove that prong of the QI test, leaving the vastly more rational test of whether the officer intentionally violated a constitutional right. Anyone opposed is either a member of the police union or a sycophant of one.
