That makes me like Sophie Cunningham and I don't even know who she is.
For a WNBA player, she is actually hot.

Here comes the outrage!

“Presuming that you are not a white supremacist, at least say how horrified you were by how this campaign was amplified and celebrated by unrepentant racists who believe in eugenics,” British photographer Misan Harriman wrote on Instagram, sharing a clip from the GQ interview.
“At least recognize the harm your jeans campaign has caused Black folk,” he continued, “the undertone of the campaign is that your genetics are superior to others, the play on words is clear as day and racists LOVED it!”

After Sweeney addressed the backlash in her GQ cover story, “White Lotus” actress Aimee Lou Wood was one of the many to chime in on the matter, commenting a barfing emoji on Harriman’s Instagram reel. Others went so far as to accuse the actress of pandering to “bigots” and being “unapologetically pro-white.”
“Now I understand why people hate her,” one X user wrote.
quote:
It’s kinda crazy that the most famous actress and the biggest sex symbol on the planet is unapologetically pro-white

sydney sweeney is such a fricking loser. and i hate to say that about someone who i used to believe had the potential to be great. but she’s proved that she would rather pander to bigots than make good art! that’s so lame!!!

Miserable people being miserable. It's better to just ignore them.

So she should apologize for being good looking and a decent human being? The ugly ones are the ones who need to apologize.

maybe white people shouldn't joke about genetic superiority ...
Ummm, they weren't?
"Good genes" has always and forever been in reference to attractiveness, athleticism, etc. Like people joke about marrying someone with good genes so their kids end up beautiful or a sports pro.
I've never heard anyone use "good genes" to apply to someone being white.

These people demand you apologize for being white. They are not after equality, it's subservience.

The fact that (some) white people are convinced they have to apologize for a completely innocuous advertisement shows how fricked up our society is today.
I hope every race can be successful, including my own.

The culture war is not over. In fact, it has taken on new fronts with new warriors.

Nothing can stop the plague of misery. The only thing miserable people like more their misery is spreading their misery to others and swallowing them up into their shroud of self-absorption and sadness. It’s not the goal of the miserable person to be happy. It is the goal of the miserable person to have as many people as they can validate their misery and join their misery echo chamber.
It can’t be stopped or reasoned with. The enemy of the misery plague is happiness and self-satisfaction and contentment. The only joy the miserable feels is when they have increased the number of miserable people.

The audacity that some people don't view every single act of humanity through the lens of identity politics.
What a complete loser this human being is.

Yet there still people, even in this thread, that want to pretend that democrats didn't and still lose their shite over this.

I don't care. She's clearly not a racist person, so the outrage is ridiculous.

I'm seeing wokeness changing up family dynamics now.
There was a time when my wife and I would let things just pass over but now, we, the silent ones have become much more vocal and it shocks some.

As if she herself just recited lines off the top of her head for the ad.
This is the most absurd part of it all. She shows up, puts on the clothes and gets hair and makeup done, photographer takes pictures and poses her, she changes back into street clothes, gets her check, and leaves.
She has nothing to do with the messaging on the ad, even if it came out to say Heil Hitler.
I'm surprised that wasn't her answer.
