But masks can’t stop the spread alone. It’s not a magical cure. It can help reduce transmission.

There are but two ways to stop a virus: herd immunity and a vaccine. Herd immunity will be achieved by the virus spreading. This has to happen.
Cases are increasing. Deaths are not.

You know how sometimes in your car you can press the brake just a bit and you slow down but you don't completely stop?
That's what we would call "reducing your speed" but not "stopping."

If you keep your reduced speed long enough for all of the traffic ahead of you to clear out, you probably won't crash.
