Shot one, the rest came pouring in. He baited them by walking along the highway with his firearm dressed like a ninja.

Hopefully it was a head shot. Now that would be impressive.

Have they said if it was a head shot or not??

Why? I'm curious about Long's funeral, biker gang member wannabe.

It will give you an idea of what Longs funeral will be like. Are you really this dumb?

Probably wasn't. I'm sure he was aiming center of mass.

I was never trained to shoot people, but a head shot is extremely tough. The head is small and moves a whole lot. The torso is big and much more stationary. I don't think you risk a miss by going for the head.

Any idea when Obama is coming to Baton Rouge to meet with the slain officers family?

Keep him as far away from Louisiana as possible.

Anyone know how much time passed between the first shots fired and when SWAT showed up?

It's my understanding that SWAT didn't show up. It was an individual who is a member of swat arrived on the scene.

Most PDs don't have a designated SWAT team that hangs out and waits for a crisis situation, they are a team made up of actual officers who are trained and called upon to step up for situations like this.

You don't know what it will be like. I would rather know actually what it's like, not your supposition. Did your banning kill all your brain cells?

I used to work at a shooting range and you'd be shocked at how much of humanity can't even hit a target at 6-10 feet

Bravo to this officer

I've shot with a few SWAT guys, and they are pretty impressive. They all put tens of thousands of rounds down range every year and some are competitive shooters. I've seen two hit 6" targets at 75 yards with a Glock 17

Put your son's pipe down. If you want to know then just wait for it to happen and tune in.

The AR is the civilian version of the M-16

I believe the AR came before the M-16, and the military "version" of that rifle was based off of the civilian version.

KMW Sentinel built buy a guy in north louisiana. Dude is a well known gunsmith and great guy. Builds guns for a ton of agencies.

No idea why they would have a 338 lapua. There hasn't been an engagement longer than like 200 yards ever.

Anyone on here whose had training knows how big of a dropoff accuracy is from practice to real life. It's 20-30 points. So yes, I'd say anyone who has never been in a real life situation before and performed well. I've seen hundreds of times the panicky in trained mens eyes in just training scenarios.

BRPD has a designated team (actually multiple ). By good fortune they were at HQ just 6 blocks away and heard the call. They immediately responded, saving the lives of multiple officers.
