If you admit that you don't know, than quit speculating. I assure you that you are incorrect. The small details have not been released but yet many of you downplay the heroism exhibited yesterday. The man shot from and exposed position despite rounds sticking all around him. It was truly an amazing and selfless effort on his part to act without any concern for his personal well being

You obviously haven't read this thread then Mr. Inside Info... Nobody is downplaying what this hero did

We are just arguing about all the minuscule details that haven't come out yet... If you know something, say it, and state your sources... If not, sit back and watch us rip each other apart

But I'd imagine the dude pulled up and propped his rifle up on the hood of his car and dropped the dude.
Under the vehicle behind the tires would have been my choice. Hidden and more stable shooting from the ground.

It's impressive because he performed when it mattered the most. Coming through in the clutch is a skill that not everyone possesses. Kudos to BRPD for selecting high quality individuals and training them properly.

I agree and the amount of training does tend to eliminate that to some degree.

I never meant to compare it, I couldn't think of the right words to summarize like you did.

The cns is finely tuned but it isn't that finely tuned, that's where it's up to the individual to make right decisions.

You are arguing, you are speculating at at facts and then suggesting "it wasn't that difficult". And yes, I do know the info. I don't post about situations unless I know the actual facts.

Did SWAT arrive in the bearcat or was the officer who shot the perp in his own unit?

assure you that you don't know what you are talking about. Forensic evidence exists which reflects that he actively engaged the swat guys when they fired upon him.

I was just going on what was said by Edmonson

Beat cat didn't arrive until the event was over. It was used to secure the officers struck by rounds and later to make sure suspects were not in the field behind. It was also used to "screen" investigators from a possible second gunman as they checked the suspects body.

I'll take your word for it. What exactly happened. What kind of rifle did the cop use?

I'm sure he didn't take that lightly and go home and high five his wife.

Maybe he didn't, but every officer should have. Simply put, he saved lives.
