This is one of those I'm going to need explained to me

Amateur racing is a savage place. Too much beer and a bunch of dudes who have zero issues with grenading cars makes for impromptu demolition derbies. Rental cars (With full insurance of course) end up the victims.

In Vegas for the street car super nationals about 10 years ago, the guys across the pit from us screwed one up so bad they hauled it up to the highway, rolled it on its side and reported it stolen. I never had any of mine get that bad, because I was working and not just screwing off. But I had one get stolen by my buddies drunk girlfriend and a couple that had panels smashed in from other people acting like tards.

My 15 year old son saved his money and bought a 96 Geo Tracker last fall. He runs around in the woods in it filling feeders and moving stands . The turn radius is better than my side by side . It has a camo wrap with a soft top. It’s fun to ride around the woods and he loves it. He calls it his “Pimp Wagon”.

Suzuki still makes them as the Jimny, but are not sold int the US. You can find imported models on Bring a Trailer, but not sure whats involved if you have issues licensing it.

U turns probably can happen in the same lane of travel if needed

The short wheelbase means it can do a Uturn in a single lane, whether intended or unintended.

Thanks for the responses. Anyone has one to sell me?

I think I want one because I have vivid memories of the guy in town with one riding round with the top down and sloots getting hammered in the back all night long. Kris kross blaring.

Got a soon to be 16 boy. He would love it. I could use it as a daily driver to and from work. It’s like 2 miles away.

A black guy in high school had a yellow one slammed with 100 spoke gold Daytons on it.

It was awesome.

There is a kit to drop a 90's GM 3800 V6 in a samurai. Easily lifted with shackles or a spring over axle setup.

Do it.

That vehicle should never go over 35mph without a funny car cage.

then you might as well get a Jeep TJ for around the same price. It drives better on the road, is easier to work on, and has more parts available.

But it's not nearly as cool, sorry. Those little shite boxes were awesome.
