Some of you may have been following this story. Just tragic

quote:

A 25-year-old South Carolina man was arrested on Saturday in connection to the death of a University of South Carolina student, who went missing after a night out with her roommates and was found dead in a rural area, police said.

Nathaniel David Rowland was charged for the murder and kidnapping of Samantha Josephson, police announced during a press conference on Saturday.

This is the suspect.

Good to know. Was a tragic case.

Also happy to know it wasn't another racist pine tree in South Carolina that was responsible.

Now imagine if the races were reversed.

This would be a lead story on CNN

And Trump would be blamed.

If it weren't for a couple of turkey hunters this girl never would have been found. She was dumped about a mile from where my mom grew up in Clarendon County, one of the most rural places in the state. There's nothing but cotton fields and swamps in every direction for 20 miles.

Is this story buried and not being covered? Is a politician covering/dismissing this case? Because a black guy kills a white woman doesn’t make a case political.

If any of the things above are happening, it is absolutely political and belongs on this board, but if not, why couldn’t this been added to the OT thread?

When I was growing up this man was guaranteed the electric chair. I grew up in Alabama and South Carolina would have killed him too when I was a kid. In 2019 this guy will serve 17 years maybe. I do t understand why the left is so soft on heinous crimes?

People always pretend that our culture and politics aren’t completely intertwined when they don’t want to discuss something. They aren’t really asking a question as much as they are uncomfortable with the realities of the topic.

Yep.

As you know, I've been posting stories like this on this board for years. The nexus of culture, society, and politics is my bread and butter. I don't GAF about the race of the criminal, but inevitably whenever I post a story like this where the perp is a member of one the Left's protected classes, the board liberals will ask in unison "How is this political?

You nailed it right on the head Pimpness.
