I’m also speaking from experience. I have some close friends who’s husbands are absolutely worthless.
That is because your friends are stupid and married badly. Men don't change when they get married and become sorry arse pieces of shite, they were this way when these ladies married them and then expected to change them.
Also all the overwhelmed and stressed out women seem to have a lot of time on their hands to fill out surveys.
These me too women are pushing this pendulum as far to the left as it can possibly go and when it swings back, and it will, it is going to be ugly.

Boys that are overweight, don't shave but can't grow a real beard and wear sloppy clothes are lazy. Shocking they grow up to be lazy worthless husbands.

work with majority women and the majority are the breadwinners. I know that’s shocking but if you looked at current college graduation rates, and rates of women taking more of the workforce than men, you might not be so surprised.
This isn’t surprising at all as I’ve seen the college trends and in my engineering classes there were active roles to include and recruit more and more women into the program.
I’ve also seen it at work. More and more energy is put into recruiting more women into positions of authority, so I am not shocked at all that there are a lot more female breadwinners.

This post is about shite man children husbands. Keep up.
No this post is about an emotionally needy blogger on an emotionally based website venting and confirming her world view.
My observations are purely anecdotal, but I don’t know a single husband that doesn’t help out in some way with the house. Whether that’s dishes, cleaning, picking up, yard work, cooking etc, nor do I know a single father that doesn’t help out with their young kids.
The fact that you know many just tells me you and I run in extremely different circles. Just different lives I guess

If I’m being totally honest, my friends in Louisiana all have great husbands who do at least 50%; cook, clean, parenting, etc. whatever it is that works best for them. When I moved to little rock is when I started to see what I’m talking about now. Not sure if it’s because of cultural differences in that in Louisiana it’s not only accepted but encouraged for men to be good cooks, and with that tends to come a sense of responsibility and contribution to the family in other ways. It’s more family centric, big family gatherings, etc. Here, it seems the men just play all day and just “show up” to their lives everyday instead of actually taking part of creating that life alongside their wife. It’s frustrating for me because these girls are amazing women, but they put up with too much shite. And they’re allllllllllllllll fed up and resentful. I often feel like I’m watching impending doom.

This is something these women should consider before marriage.

I love watching trainwrecks so I lurk /r/relationships and /r/JustNoSO. There's a chunk of men out there who are a complete waste of humanity and do absolutely zero for their family.
What if....all the women in the survey have husbands who work and provide the family with income?
Women always want to have their cake and eat it too, but in and outside of relationships. Jobs, hobbies, everything.

They freely chose who they married and had children with. If they're victims they are very willing victims.

I’d assume that they do. Most 2 parent households have both parents working. Assuming both parents work equal hours, why shouldn’t a wife be able to expect help at home?

And while I don’t disagree, I think it can also be hard to gauge just how good or bad they’ll be at the family thing.

naw. you gotta remember the old adage:
women marry men thinking they will change them
men marry women thinking they will never change
true well north of 50% of the time

Complaining about not getting enough help is a social badge of honor among younger married women.
You can do half the work and many will still complain it's not fair.

If your husband isnt pulling his weight, it probably means your bedroom or sandwich making skills aren't up to par or you're just fat.

This.....
My wife and I have the occasional stupid spat, but other than that we get along great.
Like the song says: "She don't nag and I don't beg".....
I'm lucky that my wife knows when to be a lady and when to be filthy perv (heh)....
That and her fishing abilities make her irreplaceable to me.
Marriage saved my life.

So what's your point of the "survey"? People shouldn't get married? People shouldn't have kids? What?

That men are dumb, lazy, and selfish. Duh

My wife (RIP) and I had a 50/50 role on household chores and homework, etc. it worked for us until she got the cancer and I did it all as any husband should at that point.

Most husbands do. I would bet the ones that don't contribute is because they tried to contribute only to hearing it wasn't good enough from their nagging perfectionist wife. If women truly want help, then they also need to be open to accepting the way a man does things is different and won't be just like you want it. So if you can hold of the nagging, he can grow and learn to see when things need done.
My wife will wash 5 different loads of clothes. But when I do it, I usually do 2 large loads one whitish and one darks. Both end up washed. Is her way better? Maybe, but to me she makes it way harder than it needs to be. So I don't correct her, and she doesn't correct me. She mostly does the laundry and I mostly cook and clean dishes and do the grocery shopping. I do a lot because I want have good food and a fairly clean house and I do most of the parenting because it's easy for me. But the quickest way to have me go hands off is to bitch about how I'm doing it.

Yes and no. I don’t disagree with the first part. But how would some of them know that their husband would turn into a sloth the minute things got hard with a baby. How do some men know that their wives end up being not so great moms and selfish when it got hard? You honestly cannot always predict it. Yes, if you marry a bratty man who’s hobbies always come first and they even tell you as such, then of course, it’s on you when the continue that trend into parenthood.
I’ve seen guys just decide the baby thing is too hard and throw it on the women because the mom obviously isn’t going to abandon the needs of the child. It’s usually these same men who are the first to criticize their wives when the baby is fussing or not sleeping through the night, etc—“the baby is suddenly waking up again. I told you you shouldn’t have changed up the snack/nap time routine”. And it’s them who aren’t affected by it anyway since they don’t help. Just like to armchair QB the parenting thing.
So while I doubt the majority of the men commenting or reading this are even like this at all, that doesn’t mean it isn’t out there and prevalent. Yes, the source of the blog is a joke. But the sentiment is real and there are plenty of these types out there hiding in plain sight. You just wouldn’t know it unless you get to know their family dynamics. Most aren’t going to brag to their friends about what a shite husband they are; you’ll just have to witness it first hand.
