Also... does the student have to attend the same school where the teacher works?
If 17 year old HS student attends Ben Franklin, and diddles a teacher who works at Lusher... is that still illegal?

I am sure that would still be against policies for teachers to have relationships with any students in HS regardless of where they go. Now if the kid was in college it would be different one would think

I guess here is my issue with that.
I completely understand the fact that is illegal if a teacher is in a position of influence over a student - if they taught the student, coached, etc.
But if they are going to a different school, there is no influence.
So, it's perfectly legal if the female pastor, or doctor, or police officer diddles a 17 year old boy... but a teacher at a different school does it, then it's a problem?
