Wouldn't change me.
I truly believe the Bible provides the best blueprint for a successful and fulfilling life.
I wouldn't immediately start cheating on my wife, because I would still care about her, our relationship and our daughters.
I don't magically turn into a huge narcissist overnight if God disappears, but I probably will over time.
Our character is shaped my millions of micro-choices we make in our lives, and if I didn't know and follow Jesus, I'd be in a wildly worse state than today.

Just to understand, you'd be a complete piece if shite if there weren't afterlife consequences?
You only respect people around you because of that.

Eh, we’re all different. I’m a Christian but I don’t not harm people because of rewards and heaven. I live in the present and have purpose because of him. Before being a Christian I never hurt people either, was just not a happy person. I never think or worry about Hell fwiw

That’s not what we believe as Christians.

This question has already been played out, look at the morality of the left in this country.
Was the country more moral when it had slaves? Or when women were hung for witchcraft because their husband died unexpectedly? Or was the country more moral when they would lynch you for speaking to a woman if you were the wrong color?

Same way I live it now, do unto others. You had stupid parents didn't you?

I see your points but if there was no God/afterlife you wouldn't need to ask for forgiveness in the first place.

I dont act the way I do on earth so I ca go to heaven I do it because it's the right thing to do

My thread about soft-serve ice cream got more upvotes than this BS.

The belief of an afterlife governs social morality now.
Individually we can likely not belive. As a society where we end up is likely a lit different.

Nothing brings out the libtard down votes like mentioning morality. They are ammoral and most know it but are too weak to control it.

If we include the existence of God along with the notion of afterlife, what do you base your morality on?
And what makes other moral codes better or worse?
Posted on 9/12/25 at 4:22 pm to AndyJ
It's why the radical left try so hard to downplay Christianity and religion in general. Because deep down they know morality is loosely connected to religion and if God isn't real then fricking children must be okay.

Not the most religious person but i have to agree with this statement. The left is a group of crazy folks that are very angry.

How did you discover that there's no afterlife?

The "afterlife" in the Jude-Christian sense is code for "God" in this question. You can't reject the reality God set up, but expect His positive effects to continue.
Sounds like you define a "complete piece of crap" by the choices we make. I stated I would have made enough selfish choices over the years that I wouldn't recognize myself if not for Jesus.
I've had girls make passes before that my wife wouldn't have known about, but because of my faith I had made the decision years prior that I wouldn't go down that road.
Hope that answers the question.
Our innate morality is a proof of God.
