Yes cause all the other politicians woulda stood up to those shouting racism and told them to get fricked
Go tell the current gov (and legislature) to shut it down. Let us know how it goes.

Fricking good.
Why do we have so many low budget schools?
If you can’t get into college the normal way, it’s not for you.

he shocking thing to me in that article is that Loyola has been on probation by SACS since last year
Loyola will one day over the next 10-15 years be acquired by Tulane.

I don't know if the Archdiocese would just sell Loyola to Tulane
ETA: reading the article all the way to the end... Loyola looks like it's going to be off SACS probation soon... if it isn't already... and has balanced its budget
if Loyola gets profitable again... there will be no need to sell it to Tulane
now SUNO's struggles seem to be much more major than Loyola's and its ability to get off probation will be a million times harder
but LSU Alexandria was in a somewhat similar situation... on SACS probation and in serious financial peril... and was able to reverse course and get back on good footing with SACS... so it can be done
FWIW... I know a school in Dallas that's been operating without a respected accreditation for years... it's a HBCU run by a religious order... don't know how it survives but it does

SACS has, I am told, the toughest accreditation standards and processes. Then then, they make changes every few years to make it all mire difficult.

Is one not enough?
Right. And it's funny because they had to put "public" so they could go without mentioning Xavier.

i live about 2 minutes from SUNO and they've opened a bunch of brand new buildings recently so feel good about that, taxpayers.

I’m wondering whose brother in law had the construction company who got the bid.

The previous governor tried to merge SUNO with UNO its neighbor and the current governor opposed the plan.
Edwards is not going to do anything.

I really can't wrap my head around how any of the low IQ leaders can justify having a place like SUNO. There is only so far that racebaiting crap about being an historical black college can take you.
Any student with half a brain could get into UNO and have everything they need. If they couldn't cut that, they could go to Delgado for a few years.

UNO struggles enough being the redheaded stepchild when it comes to college funding. Please don't put SUNO on us... just shut them down. The 10-15 SUNO students who can hack it at UNO, can just transfer over.

Loyola is run / owned by the Jesuits, not the Archdiocese.
The Jesuits would shut it down long before allowing the Jews at Tulane to take over.
Loyola's problem is they charge a premium tuition but don't offer a premium education. Especially when it comes to networking / job placement.

frick Bobby Jindal for not having the balls to shut down scam SUNO. Seriously, all it took was for opponents to scream racist and that chickenshit backed off like a real coward.
So no other Governor had the power to do this?

Let’s see if Edwards even gets close to this mess right now . I bet he doesn’t, not in an election year.
Next year he’ll give em more money.

Don't merge that parasitic entity with anything.

The Jesuits *are* leftists.
Not making a value judgment, just stating a fact. Most universities are left of center.

The Archdiocese doesn’t have the money it once did either because of all the sexual abuse payouts coupled with a severe reduction active followers in Louisiana. The Latin American connections it once had are going to schools in other states as well.

SUNO's admissions standards are low...VERY low. Most of these kids probably weren't accepted at UNO.
