Suggestions on a brown leather briefcase/laptop bag?

For my upcoming birthday I am asking for a brown leather briefcase/laptop bag from the wife. Any suggestions? There are wayyy too many options on the internet to filter through.
Things it needs:
- Good laptop compartment as I carry it everywhere
- Shoulder strap
- Brown leather
- Not TOO casual looking
- Several other compartments
- Be long lasting/durable; I tend to beat these things up, which is one reason I’m going to leather
Any suggestions?

If price is not a huge concern, then Tumi is the answer.
Tumi ballistic nylon is what I have and it is super quality if you are worried about it getting beat up. Leather won't last as long and shows wear.

saddleback is the answer if you like the style. I have a large.

Saddleback thin front pocket briefcase is a good one for less than 500.
I have the full size Saddleback, but I'd probably go this route if buying today. No laptop compartment, but I use the Saddleback laptop sleeve and it's awesome. I alternate between a Filson and Saddleback.
It's pretty beat up at the moment but it cleans up nicely.
I've also got a Aston Leather bag that is less rugged.

Thats fair, but I also just like the way brown leather looks.

Orvis is also has one made from bull hide. Kinda pricey - $400.00.

Due to my travels on business, I moved from the "brief case" style to a nice North Face Backpack designed for laptop and projector (and fits a bunch of papers/files as well). Much easier getting around airports with bags in your hands.
It may me too casual for your needs though.

I have a Saddleback. The small is plenty large enough. I don't carry folders, etc. Laptop, power supply, maybe dop kit and it's never been full.

I got a Claire Chase from some salesman chooch the morning after we whipped UGA in the SEC championship game in 2011. Leftover from a trade show that weekend. Pretty solid product and price is pretty reasonable. Cherry on top of a great weekend.
