That's any little dog. It's B/c their owners think their barking and little dog syndrome is cute.
No one is afraid of a wiener dog. They are just aggravating little pussies that are capable of nothing more than noise, which is a good thing at night when your home.

Get a dogo. They're Tolerant, Protective, Loyal, Friendly, Cheerful, Affectionate and intimidating.

Can't go wrong w/ a choco. The males I've had are both super friendly and docile but are protective and aggressive when they need to be. My gay dog was the sweetest thing to kids and smaller animals, but to strangers he'd draw the line to not cross and it was best that you didn't.
I really like Rotties too, it's best to bring them up as pups though. Labs are easier to assimilate into a family when you give them lots of love.

German Shepard's are great dogs but very active high maintenance dogs.

Had one of these. Quite possibly the best companion dog ever bred. For protection, not so much

We have a male Rhodesian Ridgeback in our house. I work nights some too and I know without question that if somebody wanted to get in my house they'd have to kill him. He sleeps at my wife's feet when I'm on nights and hears everything.
They're extremely intelligent, loyal and overall great great dogs. Low maintenance too.

Labradoodles and Goldendoodles are amazing dogs. Big enough to provide some security but smart and gentle around kids.
I can't stand those dogs for some reason. They are the ultimate suburbanite, yuppy dog imo.
I'd recommend a German Shepherd as well. Or, any hound will baw plenty loud enough to warn off intruders.

You serious about 135lbs?? Mine is the breed average at about 90 at 2 years old. I'd love to see that in person!

German Shepherd.
Had one as a kid. Intelligent, great with kids, and protective yet not vicious and uncontrollable.
As long as you didn't try to harm Rocky's humans or enter territory you weren't supposed to, he was friendly and let you go about your business.

Maybe but a dog is a dog. Those two mixes are just very good, fun dogs.

Black Mouth Cur.
If you don't know what that is research it. They stay healthy. They're smart as hell and cue off of you and the family. If you aren't reacting to someone they don't. If you do, you better get your hand on them if you don't want somebody to shite themselves and probably get torn up.

Get ready for an insane amount of hair. Our dog is part GS. There is a breed that is very similar with short hair. I forget the name, but I would look into that.
