re: Subaru vehicles

I spend a lot of time in Burlington, by November the cold weather clears the bums out. The Peoples Republic of Vermont is truly Bernieland, high, high property taxes, the New Yorkers with quaint "farms", pay for a lot of it.
My wife and I drive old Subarus, very low maintenance, very reliable, very safe in an accident. They have a higher ground clearance than you would think, and that AWD is great in rainy conditions. If your vehicle has to impress someone, Subaru is not for you.

There are other AWDs that work pretty well now, though.
The Volvo S60 AWD is the most underrated car on the market, going on 25 years now. Built like a tank, great on the snow and ice, and turns heads unlike the Subarus
And the 20+ year old version which is still a great looking and performing (300HP) car in my opinion.

AWD, dependable, roomy, and amazing road trip vehicles. I love my Outback, it got me through some crazy situations on a two month hiking camping road trip out west. Hate all you want but they get the job done. Slept many nights on an air mattress in the back of mine when I stopped after dark and didn't want to set up camp for a few hours.

Did you crop that image to make it say "Ben & Jerk" ?-

My son has a 2016 suburu crosstrek with a standard transmission. The transaxle went out in it at about 60k miles. Cost him 6 grand to get it replaced. It’s slow, so so gas mileage, guess you can tell I’m not a fan!

All vehicle lines have failures, I drove my Mazda 6 to almost 100K miles and then sold it to my nephew and he is still driving it two years later, my first Mazda 6 transmission failed at 26K miles, under warranty thankfully.

My brother (no pics, Aggies) is in WV.
He’s been buying a new Subaru about every five years, he’s on number 8 or so (his wife needs a car too, no pics).
He swears by them.
Fuji Motors.

Burlington’s main attraction isn’t the lake or Church Street — it’s the staggering number of professional loiterers, all located within the Church Street area.
I was just there in July and saw a few but nothing unusual. Burlington’s main attraction is Foam brewing.

Montreal was the same way with the number of bums in their "touristy" area.
You’re a loser if this is your takeaway from Montreal and not the nuru massage parlors

Our 2012 Forester was great until it started having engine problems. Lots of road trips, forest roads, and camping in that car. Oil consumption and fuel efficiency were not good. The 2012-2015 years were hit & miss because of engine problems. Wish I had one since me and the fam just moved to Colorado Springs. Been looking at the CX-5 AWD. I have a Mazda 3 with 2500k miles and zero problems.

Just how big of a WNBA fan are you, ma'am?
Just kidding, so does mine.

If it's a very good vehicle and i can get a good deal, I'd drive it.
Don't give a shiat what other people think.
Sissies today worry about that stuff too much. Fark em, as the old folks say

I got in a wreck in a Subaru Forester once. Totaled both vehicles. My airbags didn’t even come out and it felt like a bumper car. I was amazed at how that little car absorbed all of the collision and I didn’t feel much. They’re impressive in their safety. Perfect car for a daughter to drive.

The interiors seem kind of cheap.

Awesome cars and nothing beats it in inclement cold weather, especially for the money.
