I've owned some sort of subaru for over 20 years now.
I bought an outback last year, and I love it. More than likely will buy another after this one.

I had a 2011 Outback and loved it…until the CVT went out and was a $6K repair.
In good condition, the car was worth probably $8K at the time.
I didn’t bother with the repair and got $1K trade in on a new Tacoma.

Santa Cruz is awesome. I know Maverick is killing it in sales cause it looks more like a truck, but if you need a smallish “trucklet” with a bed….the Cruz is a MUCH nicer place to be & it’s not even close.

is the most extreme try hard vehicle on the road. very few can actually pull this vehicle off.

Just get you one of those Ford Maverick's with the turbo.

What the hell does this mean? It’s a vehicle. How do you “pull it off?”

I could use a pickup bed for around the house stuff, with no real need to tow anything at the moment.
Probably been mentioned, but check out the Sant Cruz. No manual, but quicker than a Baja and surprisingly nimble. Think the Baja was prone to rust, so have to be careful if buying one from snowy climates.
Edit: The SC with a level/small lift and 30/31” tires actually looks pretty sweet.

Subarus are great vehicles if you're a 40 year old lesbian.

My husband has one as a substitute for a full sized pick up truck. He's looked for replacements, but the fold down back seat and access from there to the back bed of the Subaru so he can buy lumber, etc. is why he hasn't traded it in.
It's a noisy drive and hasn't been repair-free, but there just isn't a smallish 4wd out there right now.

Looks like you can fit maybe 3-4 of your fellow lesbians in there, depending on how much they weigh on the hoof.

They've held value better than I expected, I'll say that much.

Gonna get a lot of jokes and haters on this topic.
But the manual turbo versions are very fun and practical to own. I have a buddy that will never sell his. I drove it to work for a week and loved it.

Someone made one like these back in the 70’s or 80’s with seats in the back.
In an urban setting where we surfed in California, it was a great utility vehicle.
