I disagree. IMO it has nothing to do with white fear of blacks or vice-versa. But everything to do with a fricking crazy world in which at any moment anyone (regardless of color, gender, age, or ethnicity) could be a victim of violent crime. Why do I say that? I'm just a regular guy, always mind my own business, respect other people and their property, and avoid violence. You know just trying to make a living and support my family. However, twice in my life I came darned near getting murdered (twice) along with having my wife raped (once). Guess you could say I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.....almost! Actually once I was in my own neighborhood. The other time in my empty rent house.

Won't go into specifics, but I came to realization I needed to carry a weapon simply because the level of violent crime has increased steadily over the years. [I have an opinion as to why I feel that has occurred, but I risk people accuse me of preaching so I won't go there] The reality is there are some really bad people out there folks. I would prefer not to carry a weapon, but I feel I have no choice. Obviously when you've been in a situation when a gun is pointed at you.....and you survived....you adjust.

Another thing. I wish these clowns would stop making this a white versus black thing. You know always playing that race card. People of color, white or black have the same concerns as you and me when it comes to safety for themselves and their families.
