This is government over reach. You can't legislate morality.

Is a government take-over and is draconian legislation

Keep your values to yourself, Eva Braun.

I have to admit, you have the stereotypical smug fascist proggy who thinks they know what's best for everyone else down to a T.

I used to be in Peta, but some of them are against horseback riding.

I'm not against eating fish, chicken or beef. I do try to limit my consumption. And, I've been hunting a few times but didn't like it too much.

I'm not a hypocrite.

If Eva Braun here says she isn't a hypocrite, by George, she isn't a hypocrite!

Oh, so you support factory farming that destroys the environment, exploits it's vulnerable workers, and engages in industrial scale murder the likes of which the Nazis never dreamed of. People like you should be locked up.

Why do you feel government should be the arbiter of every social issue?

Wow. Every industry is regulated. Fast food is barely regulated. Rules are not "takeovers." Make them reduce the fat and salt content.

Regulations are not takeovers.

These two words make it a take over.

That depends on the rules.

The original Nazis didn't support that either.

Have you ever read the nutrition facts on things in the frozen food aisle at a grocery store? Do you think the government should regulate them too?

Who else? It isn't going to be the mostly ignorant voters? Leave it up to the right wing, and there would be no government regulation of anything. "We don't hire blacks or women." Just fine. "We serve fries cooked in lard." Good. "No gays can join our club." Great. Is that how you want it?

Reasonable government regulations are appropriate. Nothing draconian. Just reasonable. And, who else is going to arbiter social issues? The intellectual left isn't perfect, but it is far better than the kneejerk right.
