Not even a good story.

I'd say that's a safe assumption.

he followed me all the way to the coffee shop. And I take a very zig zag way
I would have said something after the 2nd or 3rd turn. Nothing aggressive, just jokingly, "You following me, bro?".

I almost said "guess we are going to the same place" but he was never really that close to me

Most fricking definitely.

You stated that you exchanged "goodmornings and whatnot"...... does your "whatnot" include? Discussions of rough Lance Armstrong bike helmet wearing orgies or just talk about the weather?

Have you ever been at the park with your kid and seen that lonely kid who desperately wants your kid to play with him? And they play for a while, but then it's time for you to go and the kid looks really lost and heartbroken because his new friend isn't playing anymore?
Sounds like lonely cyclist wanted someone to play/ride with him. You weren't supposed to ditch him for coffee, bruh!

I laughed at this story.
I would have pulled over on the side of the road and stopped. Had he stopped, I would have waited, no words, to see who was going to give in and leave.

Did you crop dust him any point? He might have taken that as a mating call.

honestly the only thing that I could think of is that right after the red light, there is decent sized hill that I kinda powered up, mostly because I don't like changing gears
maybe he got embarrassed that some dude on an old arse bike in street clothes beat him up the hill?
I have no idea

Strange experience with a cyclist yesterday morning by Salmon
I'm so sick and tired of fricking bikers in Baton Rouge. Myself along with at least a dozen other people had to drive 15 mph behind one a few weeks ago on Highland. This douche nozzle didn't give a shite that he was holding up traffic. This is how bikers get hit or cause accidents. Go ride your bike in a damn park or find some bike paths.

Maybe he was mad at something...or looking to harp on you for improper bike usage or bad etiquette.

cool story bro
You and your biker friends need to be more considerate. There is nothing wrong with riding a bike, but don't be a fricking idiot about it. You know damn well it's ridiculous to be riding a bike in the street. Stay on the damn bike paths.

It's a dangerous form of protest to say the least. I would LOVE to see Perkins or Highland get designated walking/riding path start to end. Until then....

if they built a bike path to my coffee shop, I'd gladly stay on the bike path

He wasn't staring at your rear end all the way to the shop just so he could do laps around the parking lot.
