Maybe I don't understand the entertainment industry, but how is pissing off half of the country a winning formula?
The same goes for movie stars and athletes.
I own a business and have customers, both large and small, and I would never publicly discuss politics.
I have a friend who owns a car dealership. He refuses to support an candidates for any office, and will not allow any political signs on his property.
Of course, these people are free to do as they please, but it seems dumb.

Wait a second - you're comparing conduct that isn't strictly comparable: Bill Clinton engaged in sexual activity with a government employee on government property on government time.
Any other government employee found doing this would be fired.
Trump did all these alleged acts with his own money, on his own property on his own time.
It's a subtle difference, but an important one.
