These idiots who put themselves in the line of a major hurricane with little or no understanding of the effects.

Good way to get yourself injured or killed

So he stayed trying to be different and exceptional, and now he's fricked.

Do your research if you want to be exceptional.

Other tweets make it sound like he's being dramatic and is actually safe in shelter. Either way, what a retard.

We can’t get out!!!! Literally screwed, I lost all my weather instruments on top due to hitting so many power lines and trees… I have no lights to see in front.

The world could use fewer of these arm-chair storm chasers. Doesn’t matter how much you read/research online, nothing can prepare the average person for going into the thick of the storm.

If he survives, maybe this will wake his arse up to quit this silly shite. Likes, comments, and shares aren’t worth it anymore.

hard to feel bad for people who knowingly put themselves/family members in harms way like that...

There are a lot of chasers who don’t have the experience or knowledge to be in a hurricane of this magnitude. They don’t truly understand things like surge, particularly in a place like Louisiana where the water system is complex and you can still have surge well away from the Gulf.

We’ve seen even very experienced and knowledgeable storm chasers like Brett Adair (who is an actual meteorologist) get in serious trouble in these strong hurricanes.

He needs to put up a fight not tweeting. Find an interstate and head west.

Between all the out-of-state media and amateur stormchasers, I wonder how many extra cars are unnecessarily on the road in the hours before a storm. I guess they're going the opposite direction, but it still seems pretty stupid and unnecessary.

I’d like to know the story in why his buddies left him and where they went.
