In Ft Walton right now and you could damn near surf on these waves coming on shore.

Gusts are picking up on the bama coast. Nothing more than @10-15 mph but the frequency between them is getting shorter. Not much rain. Typical tropical scene with bands of rain on and off.

This is why I don’t understand the high alert attitude with just tropical storms. If they’re coming in hot and will be gone in a few hours, there are Louisiana summer storms that are stronger than these. I understand the possibility of these things stalling out and causing flooding, but that was never in the forecast with Cristobal.

I can’t get my 10 week old puppy to come back inside. He’s enjoying the breeze we are getting in New Orleans and he keeps laying down in the water puddling in my back yard.

Yes, that is their typical pattern. As they move away from the Gulf they lose their tropical storm status but continue to produce rainfall.

Hope it comes in faster. Don't like the idea of getting up here at 1am.

Fishfighter We’ve both been through summertime squalls worse than this in the GOM.

I’m glad it fizzled out because it didn’t strip the leaves off all of the trees.

Not much change in organization overnight and recon isn't really finding much near the LLC.

It’s a low-medium strength tropical storm. Not sure what people were expecting.

Cindy, at the time rated a TS, rolled through Nola and took some shite out. I remembering waking up and saying, holy shite the wind.

It’s heading north longer than they thought it would. Waiting on the northwest turn. They even moved the center NNE of where it was the previous update.

70 mph, at the time, storm and it was very compact. Those little storms can pack a real punch.
