Mostly RVs and some trailers based on Google earth. Looks like most trailers got obliterated.

ETA: morans actually looks like it’s in fine shape. Must have built the new layout to last.

That’s what happens when you have houses built under DOT regs rather than building codes.

My "real" job is working with a couple of machine/fabrication shops, primarily design and setup for different projects. What I do now is primarily work with some friends who run shops doing contract work. I can work the hours I want really, and it varies with how busy they are. This Summer has been pretty good because they are on long-run production that just requires some oversight. I don't even have to go in really unless there's an issue.

I also piddle with some things on the artistic side, which I prefer, but it doesn't pay well enough. I do some custom woodworking and leatherwork.

Between your work here and the Kabul thread you’re one of my top OT posters.

Thanks also to the pros who posted here and kept us updated on the storm and all of the posters who posted helpful info, links and pictures. My prayers go out to everyone affected badly by the storm.

look at those standing seam metal roofs. brushed that shite off like it was nothing

When Hurricane Sally hit Alabama last year the houses with metal roofs all survived where the shingle roofs did not. If I lived down there I would pay the extra $$ for a metal roof.

Is it blue? Could be the paint.

Looks like a lot of debris piled up against it which may have shielded it a bit?

It will also be one of the first places back up and running. Easy to wipe away, fix utilities, bring in the 5th wheels and other trailers. Saw it after Harvey and it was quite remarkable
