Terrebonne/Lafourche has to be seeing rising waters right now. Any reports out of those areas?

My parents and sister are going to ride it out in luling. I've been trying my arse off to get them to leave but they won't. I'm rooting hard for those marshlands.

She said there wasn’t enough time for mandatory evacuations 3 days before landfall
Did Katrina issue mandatory evac literally the day before?
I fricking hate her so so so so much
As much as I detest her, I have it on good authority from someone inside GOHSEP that her request for contra flow was overridden by powers well above hers.

That's probably due to the shitty drainage because of all the development going on.
Spot on. That will cause a lot of flooding in that area.

Hurricane hunters are about due south of Houma now, should have some data in the next hour or so

Not sure about the actual town but plenty of folks east and west on 22 have and do.
Having lived here the past 12 years that seems to be the thing. The town itself as well as the area between it and Hammond stay dry but lately with all this rain it seems the yard stays marshy and I worry about drainage.

Are there 2 storms pretty much 2 days apart after Ida? Did I see that?

Anyone keeping an eye on changes to river crest predictions? usually those predictions lag.

Don't worry. I have an in to an almost unlimited supply of 3M sandpaper. I've got about 30 rolls of 80 grit I will probably never use.
