Peak gust 102mph at 9PM, max sustained 66mph, sustained 56-43mph looked a lot like the kenner profile with those numbers

I'm always nervous about that.

Anyone in Baton Rouge just step outside and notice how dead calm the conditions are? There’s not even a slight breeze. It’s a little off putting since usually it’s pretty windy before a hurricane arrives.

Possibly. It could just be how it looks on that gif.

Given what Michael & Laura did approaching landfall, I don’t think anything’s off the table.
You’d be right

My anxiety is high waiting on this 10p update.

They are going to move the track further East at 10. Not good for NOLA.

Ida = Vince Carter
New Orleans = Frederic Weis

Never heard of the calm before the storm?

This chart wasn’t discussed at all when he posted it earlier. It showed Nola getting 24” and BR at 14.5”. Not a single peep about it.

Let's get it on.
You won't be thinking that when this bitch smacks you in the mouth and rolls over the top of you. Been through 4 hurricanes. It aint no fun when the shite actually hits the fan.
Posted on 8/28/21 at 9:48 pm to Oates Mustache
Why does it seem like Nola is worse off on these last few models and BR in better shape?
Posted on 8/28/21 at 9:48 pm to Oates Mustache
And latoya will still easily be reeelected

I’m in SE Baton Rouge. It’s saying tropical storm conditions tomorrow afternoon and night but only 4 inches of rain. That sounds off.

What a dumb response. If landfall is noon, we will see stuff before then.
