It looks to be just a steady state.
It's been dropping pressure all evening.

Not looking good for New orleans! were people evacuated? or did they move them to the superdome like last cluster?

I’m also of the opinion the NHC will have no choice but to back down on their intensity forecast the next advisory, in my opinion, which would be hopeful news.
Naw. Still has 12 hours. Can easily make 140 mph

Maybe a little good news?

But what’s stopping it now? It’s not really ‘taking off’ like some are saying. It looks to be just a steady state.
It has strengthened fairly steadily today, not to RI standards, but still strengthening.
A few things change in its favor overnight, and it is already well on its way to closing that eye off.

How often are advisories? Every 3 hours?
Posted on 8/28/21 at 7:50 pm to redstick13
Ida is traveling over the hottest portion of the gulf now. We could see some RI over the next 6 hours.

Extrapolated pressure is 966 mb. Almost cat 3.
Geaux, I think the best we can hope for is this to not get stronger or to die to cat 2 or 1 before it gets to hs

It’s always good to question teams of people who’ve dedicated their lives to this based on gut feelings

Per direct orders from the CCP?
Don’t fret. The local channels are all affiliated with the CCP run MSM. Enjoy your propaganda freely.

What’s the good website that has the weather cams? When should we start seeing some action with those?
