The trends have been consensus west. Looks like mandeville covington is out of the cone by a few miles now.

I attempted to overlay the current NHC cone/track with Jack Sillin's "Wobble Plot" and "cone". I had to enlarge the NHC graphic, but tried to line them up as close as possible. This isn't accurate, just a comparison:

That would definitely change things for the Northshore

If anyone in the BR area still needs food, Alexander's Market on highland still has plenty of everything.

I’m looking at the current NHC consensus. It currently has mand/cov out of the cone by a hair. I’m not commenting on the next update. Just the current.

Isn't Weather Nation on one of the free tv streaming apps? Maybe Pluto or Tubi?

Every single meteorologist from lake Charles to Nola just updated facebook at the same time saying major shifts east to the track in all models and that the nws will update accordingly.

Which ones do you follow? I'd like to follow them as well. Thanks.

I wonder if we are seeing an eyewall replacement cycle as has been mentioned too I am not seeing explosive intensification at the moment, at least on satellite presentation.

maybe the difference between a category at landfall. maybe.

On Roku just download the weather channel app and with an ISP login you can stream it live.

Yes, I'm watching that. It's just ok. 3 out of 5 stars.

Out of the cone doesn’t mean out of the impacted area, jr just means the center isn’t likely to go right over you.

The little website I have, zoom earth, shows it live and it had the little jog to the east but it shows it going back west.

I wish I could post a pic. But if you go look at that website u can see what I mean.

Do we have an official check in thread not for discussion but just for those of us riding this thing out to check in tomorrow afternoon and then again Monday morning? Wonder if that’s possible. Leave all discussion out of it. Just a check in tomorrow and then a check back in tomorrow morning. I’ll start it tomorrow and see if it holds up.

I can’t leave because of family and work so I’m here no matter what.

Prayers going out to everyone who is staying.

I just said I’m looking at the NHC cone. You must not know where mand/cov are bc currently (not future) they are outside the cone by a a few miles. So therefore the past trends have been west. That’s all I’m saying.
