Same.

Also been hitting the models trying to look ahead, but that’s for another time.

Will it continue to wobble East or will wobble back west. Guess asking will this change landfall location?

I think it will likely wobble east and west the rest of the way.

I see some mets saying it is moving east. NHC track still has it hurricane wind probabilities for GNO at less than 50%. This is a fricking mess.

Wait for the NHC.

If a few miles didn't matter so much at this point, nobody would be worried about this level of variance.

That’s what a I was thinking. A wobble usually means back and forth.

Do you know chance of hurricane force winds in NOLA metro. There a message from UNO chancellor floating around saying "The likelihood we would see hurricane force winds in New Orleans, namely a category 1, is put at below 5%.   They say there is “no possibility” of the storm being higher than that in New Orleans.  Since the storm has passed Cuba, they are very confident in their prediction at this point, which is consistent with the National Weather Service."

Wondering if your opinion or Duke/RDS of the same opinion?

He’s got a degree. I’m not sure he’s responding to individual people at this point.

I have a degree in meteorology but not working as one at this point, considering grad school.

The wobbles tend to smooth themselves over time, but they will definitely matter come tomorrow at this time.

The tiny little mayor of Mandeville just said on TV that anyone on the lakefront after midnight will go to jail.
