What those models don’t know is that I threw a 20lb bag of ice off the Atchafalaya river bridge in MC this afternoon. So we should have cooler water on the coast

Good for at least a couple MBs

Now go hit a few ProV1’s into a cane field to help with coastal erosion and y’all should be set.

Does the evacuation/loss of use coverage on a homeowners policy only kick in if there is a mandatory evacuation in place?

The track is set. The only thing left are the last minute wobbles.

One day, there's going to be a huge outlier the models couldn't predict and someone is going to be totally unprepared.

How fricked up will New Orleans and Slidell get here?

On the current projected track probably Cat 1 winds and lots of rain.

Flooding in Nola
Probably some power outages
Surge around Nola is a big concern especially 15ft or more going up the MS river

If you were on vacation in Florida, what time tomorrow would you leave to head back to Lafayette (area) and beat the storm's path?

If I was from Lafayette, I would drive directly south and see if I could come in behind it

With the global (well a global model I suppose) models picking up on such rapid deepening too, it's screaming to be ready for a power hurricane rapidly intensifying on approach.
