I hate Latoya, but god…people should research and do what they feel is best. If you are relying on a politician to make life or death decisions for you, I don’t know what to say.

Current track this would be the worst hurricane to ever impact Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge is in line for a direct hit.

If it goes into Vermilion Bay or east closer to New Orleans it won't be as bad.

OK…. So gigantic suckage coming our way. Gotcha

It’s all situational based on your experiences. I know others that lost it only for a day.

Baton Rouge- 33% change of winds 75 mph or more. I thought it would be much higher.

That will be much higher 2 days from now when the storm is close.

Yeah. That's gonna look very different in 24 hours

I also need to stress there's going to be a big flooding threat on the east side of this as it slows down and makes it's turn. It'll also probably bring additional rain over the eastern side of the track as it moves NE. Those of you vulnerable to fresh water flooding roughly east of Baton Rouge need to prepare for that. That extents well into Mississippi too.

Even if the wind doesn’t hit New Orleans... the city is like a water saturated sponge.

The ground can’t hold another drop. And in fact there’s more water on the ground now because we had an afternoon storm.

Whatever water Ida dumps on the city is going to accumulate quickly

If it were just me, I’d already be on the road outa here, but I’ve got elderly folks to look after. I can’t leave them here to just deal.

That % chance of wind graphic isn't very useful days out. Once the landfall is set and the storm is close the percentages are much truer.

My post has zero to do with track. It's about how strong it is getting.

The track is good, except for the normal wobbles at the end that will save some folks and not so much others.

Thank you for clarifying. My LC PTSD needed some reassurance
