I was just in rouses on airline in Baton Rouge. Everyone’s phones went off with the hurricane warnings. That was eerie

Look, I've spent many storm threads telling people to get out if/when they can, and I never really understood the desire to stay until now.
This is the first major I've dealt with as an adult, and it's a weird feeling.

That's gusts not sustained winds. BR did not see sustained Cat 1 winds. It had sustained winds of 50-60mph.
