Note that line isnt the real center track line

It is a straight line connecting the 12-24 hour predicted positions

The real track is convex towards the left at baton rouge

Don't ruin my hysteria with logic.

It was fine last year with a non major to SELA and dealing with SWLA.

This thing is going to be flying tomorrow and through the weekend. we aint done a major into where most of the userbase lives yet.

The guy on Fox was just asked which model is better at forecasting. He pretty much said GFS is the best but that each model could have a bad day.

Interactive Advisory Map

Like Cosmo said, though, don't take it for gospel. It is just straight lines on a map. Still a cool graphic imo.

I’ve had no problem finding the useful information in this thread and sifting through the comedic relief.

We don’t need an expert thread. We need a kindergartners thread for those posters too incompetent to find the information they need on their own, whom require hourly spoon feeding.

Go to weather.com - it’ll give you all the same updates and none of the bingo cards or screen caps of weather babes. Maybe they’ll even give you a sucker when you leave.

It doesn't matter what the New Orleans S&WB says. They can say they have a 110% pump capacity and it'd still be a fricking lie and they'd be widespread flooding.

I was trying to answer a question posed earlier about mandatory evacs. for lafourche parish. Guess I should have quoted the question.

BTW,
Where are you in the parish? SL, CL, Thib?

I live in Cut Off and we got hammered pretty bad by Zeta. The eye went right over my house.

Yeah, I saw an old Cypress get obliterated by Gustav. Like picked up and thrown by a tornado. Rain hasn't been as bad this past month but before that it felt like it never stopped raining. Don't know how saturated the ground is right now for a hurricane like this.
