If I didn’t have a baby in the NICU in NOLA I wouldn’t be nearly as concerned, but I’m terrified of the power going out at the hospital. Gives me Katrina flashbacks.

Been there. He’s five years old and just fell asleep laying next to me. It’s rough, but it does get better. Prayers to your family.

Just made the travel board thread to help people out when airline waivers get posted. So far no waivers but getting a head start

My favorite parts of these threads. BR residents acting like there isn’t 100 miles of land between them and landfall

Can't handle tropical storm winds
Can't back up a trailer
Can't fish so they want the limit of trout lowered.
Very few from the 225 are tolerable with their shite.

Thank you fellas, prayers have helped us a ton. not to derail thread but our little babe is the smallest baby they’ve ever had with heart block. 3 months into our journey and she’s finally just had a pacemaker put in. Been a ton of ups and downs but she’s seeing her best progress yet since she’s had her pacemaker put in! Been absolutely incredible to witness.

The experts are almost always wrong on the initial track. And the trend generally tends to be a shift to the west. The general sentiment around my home is that if they first say it’s coming here, we’re probably in good shape because they are almost always wrong on the initial path.

5 days out? Yeah, I get that sentiment to some extent.

60 hours or so out? Not so much.

With respect to this storm, I'd much rather be in LC or Mobile right now than Morgan City.

Current NHC track (yes I know it is a guess and will change) has it going between St amant and port Vincent , …. In that case BR is fukked

That includes downtown St. Amant for those who may be unfamiliar.

Man that is tough. I have to imagine the hospitals in New Orleans will do ok through this. Have a very pregnant wife in New Orleans. Makes the evacuation game trickier when you want a level IV NICU at the ready just in case.

In that instance BR would be on the west side of the storm. That’s a good thing.

We own a second home and property on 93 that backs up to the open space park. We don't get out there as often as we would like though.

If you had "posters find out that they're neighbors with someone in Boulder, CO" on your hurricane bingo card, you can check that box.
