They also kicked one from FL that night, as well…

Think the NOAA P-3 was flying from Tampa. The AF went west. LINK

Just got back to from Belle Terre. My in laws made it with very little damage. It’s crazy though, how they can have very little and a house 3 doors down literally had the entire second floor ripped off. Cleanup down there is going to take a good bit.

. And then once that one did get there it made the first pass from northwest to southeast and the thing was a damn monster. We were all waiting for the second pass to the north east eye wall. That 20 min span or so is probably some of the most anxiety I’ve ever felt in my life.
There were two moments that night where my heart sank. About 6/7 my time when the VDM came back with a closed eye and it has shrunk to 20 mi across, the second is when that first pass confirmed what the VDM implied would happen.
Of course the emotions are a lot more acute when it's coming at your house.

Thanks for posting the graphs and explaining how to read them
Of course. Glad y'all made it through alright.

Just watched the St Tammany daily update. This Cooper fella is in over his head. Day four and still no food/water/ice distribution sites when other parishes already have them. Nothing but the vaguest estimates of utility restoration. He's useless

The Northeast is getting rocked by the remnants of Ida right now. Maryland folks can't be used to multiple Tornado Warnings at a time.

This one has been going a while:

Not to mention this situation to the North of Philly:

And the next scan got worse:

No TDS on it that I could tell, but that's not an easy spot with that storm. Wind alone might as well be a tornado.

I need your prayer for safety for my husband and his coworkers. They are caught in a flooding situation. Unexpected. This is where they are stuck with their executive leadership outing. It is not good. #Gettysburg

Damn.
And I just found 110mph on that storm near Whitemarsh. And it just keeps looking worse and worse.
