I was just pulling your leg.
Definitely some bands lining up.

Danny was in the lower part of Mobile Bay....just to its east? Hurricane force winds over South Baldwin County for a time. To its west...Epic Flooding over South Mobile County.
I remember driving across the Mobile Bay Causeway......and very little was going on.

The center is over Texas.
The wind field is over the Gulf.
We're getting worse weather now than when it was just off our own coast.

Drove down to Galveston to check out surf conditions which were definitely ripping. The rain is about the equivalent of a spot free rinse.

Looks like the eye went over Lake Chuck a few hours ago. They can’t catch a break.

It’s a completely normal day
Honestly better than a normal day in July. 89 and breezy without a cloud in the sky. Feels like a late August cool front came through.

It was fine. Lake was pretty sporty but that was it. Decent headwind.

Worst of it so far was a pretty intense first band yesterday around 6 pm. 30 mph steady for an hour with a few gusts over 40. Winds were ENE and ripped 3-4 ft waves down west bay. Luckily it came thru at dead low tide so minimal pier/boathouse damage from the surge. Nothing approaching that since.

Yesterday and today were definitely better than what we’ve been dealing with.

Did the storm wobble or reform a different center or is KPLC's tracking guy drunk?

I wouldn’t put it pass Wade “the wait and see” Hampton. Terrible weather man.

We got misting rain early thing morning. "hardest" winds we got in Cameron were about 2pm. That wind wasn't any harder than we usually get. At least it wasn't 115.

I got out of Galveston Yesterday.
It Was storming on and off. Got to see Lightening take out 5-6 Transformers while headed to IAH.
Landed in New Orleans.
Thank God this Storm came to an End with Minimal Damange.

I drive all the way to work this afternoon with Bertha’s center of circulation about 40 miles south of me. Would have never know anything was in the Gulf. Maybe a 10 mph breeze and zero rain. It was weird.

Went running last night where a band of rain came and got my earbuds wet. Now they’re broken. Mark that as one casualty from this storm.

Bertha, don't you come around here anymore
