A good friend of mines grandpa does just that lol. He buys old muscle cars, fixes em up, drives them for a few months, and sells it. Buy another one, repeat. He averages about a car oer year.
Granted, he isnt spending outrageous amounts, but it is still quite a bit, usually 50-75K

I saw a lot of nice cars in the 30-40 range which means if you look around and not buy from a Barrett Jackson type auction you can find a nice ride.

This has been going on for generations, and will continue going on. If the writer does not get it, they should not be writing for Jalopnik. The buyers are looking for what they lusted for, as a youth. As a buyer, you want anything that sets you apart from the masses. If it is a special exhaust, color combination, whatever, it adds value to the educated. Muscle cars are near their peak. The buyers that knew them as teenagers are old, and simplifying their lives. The sell of will begin, soon, prices will fall, and the 80's and 90's cars begin to climb in value.
